*16 Hours of Continuing Education (CE) is required for renewal of affiliate broker licenses issued after 7/1/1980 and broker licenses issued after 1/1/2005 in the state of Tennessee.

100% attendance for each course is required to receive credit. You must check in at the registration desk before each session. Please notify staff of any issues that may interrupt your attendance as it may affect your ability to receive credit.

DAY 1 TUESDAY

TREC CORE
The TREC Core course is required by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission for all real estate licensees that must complete 16 hours of CE to renew their license. TREC Core covers state law topics as outlined by TREC. TREC CORE is NOT NAR Code of Ethics. (It is also not NAR Fair Housing.) DAY 2 WEDNESDAY

AGENCY IN TENNESSEE
Understanding the nuances of agency relationships is one of the most challenging aspects of real estate. This class will cover all the bases.	9AM - 11AM  2 HOURS CE CREDIT INSTRUCTOR: BOBBY WOOD

BEING A GOOD NEGOTIATOR IS HIP AGAIN

According to the National Association of REALTORS, one of the top reasons homebuyers hire a real estate professional is for their assistance in the negotiation process. With this in mind, it is important for real estate agents to learn various negotiation techniques, how to use them and how to counter them. This class will also discuss and evaluate new era negotiation strategies including dealing with I-buyers.  And with the new changes imposed on the real estate industry, this class also discusses how to handle negotiations with buyers and sellers when it comes to real estate commissions.

11:30AM - 2:30PM  3 HOURS CE CREDIT INSTRUCTOR: BOBBY WOOD

ESCALATION CLAUSES
This fast paced class discusses which party in the transaction will most likely benefit from this negotiation ploy, why this clause is used, and additional wording that should be used to prevent some unintended outcomes.  This class will discuss both the potential positive uses of this clause but also how it can be harmful to each party.	2:45PM - 3:45PM  1 HOUR CE CREDIT INSTRUCTOR: BOBBY WOOD

DAY 3 THURSDAY

INCREASING MINORITY OWNERSHIP

This course reviews minority homeownership data such as average income, DTI, loan channel and homeownership rates across the US and in TN. We discuss the most common barriers to minority homeownership and ways to overcome them. We also introduce you to local resources and tools and explore meaningful partnerships that can help increase minority homeownership in TN. We can’t solve the problem here but we will continue the conversation!
